Phil’s Ultimate Breakfast with a Schmunkie!


 

This recipe is the cornerstone of our healthy, rejuvenating lifestyle.

This breakfast is a great way to re-mineralize and to aid in the daily healing of your body.

We find this recipe saves us a lot of time. This recipe serves us for breakfast and lunch. It also helps take temptation away when you know the next meal is already prepared and ready to go!

 STEP ONE:

THE SCHMUNKIE~ this is the green smoothie part of the recipe, made in a Vita Mix blender. The best ratio is to use 60% or more fresh fruit and fewer than 40% greens, actually, when you use our Alfalfa in the next step you do not really need any other green food in this recipe.

(This serves 2 people for 2 meals each).

  • Water, or our Green Stevia Water, start with 2 cups of in the bottom of the blender, and then add:
  • Pineapple, 1 cup fresh chopped (bromelain, anti-inflammatory, manganese, trace minerals)
  • Ginger Root, fresh slices, up to a 1 inch chunk (calms the stomach and aids digestion)
  • Orange, 1 peeled (Vitamin A & C, B-complex, calcium, fibre, folate, magnesium, potassium, antioxidant)
  • Mango, 1 washed, pitted, with the skin on (high in iron, mineral and vitamin rich, antioxidant)
  • Papaya, 1 inch thick ring, peeled and seeded (vitamin A & C, B-complex, calcium, potassium, aids digestion)
  • Banana, 1 peeled (potassium, B6, vitamin C, fiber)
  • Parsley, I like a handful (vitamin C, antioxidant, liver and kidney aid)
  • OPTIONAL~ Kale leaves, 1-3 depending on the size (Vitamin A & C, antioxidant, fibre, lowers) Note If you like more variety, you can alternate with Chard leaves (vitamin C, A & K, calcium, fibre) or Romaine ** AVOID Spinach it leaves an acidic residue called Oxalic acid. 
  • Blend these ingredients on high for 1 minute or until smooth. Add more water if necessary. Then set aside.

STEP TWO & THREE on the reverse

STEP TWO: Place in two separate bowls, to serve two people;

  • Apple, ½-1 each, chopped (fibre, calcium, potassium),
  • Grapes, add 8-12 per bowl (micronutrient minerals, potassium, carotenes, Vitamins A & C, B-complex),
  • Cinnamon, 1/8-1/4 teaspoon ground, sprinkle over fruit (blood sugar control, boosts brain function).

STEP THREE:  This you grind for each person and pour over the apples and grapes in the bowls. OPTION*****this third step mix is now available pre-packaged for your convenience.

 In a coffee grinder mix;

  • Suede Hills Organic Alfalfa Powder 1-2 Tablespoons (THIS IS THE KEY INGREDIENT, mineral-rich, whole green food, high in protein, fibre, minerals, vitamins natural detoxifier and diuretic). We do 2 Tbl. each.
  • Suede Hills Organic Olive Leaf Powder, ½ -1 teaspoon (immune booster, infection fighter, helps reduce high blood pressure, Diabetic aid). We personally do 1 Tablespoon each.
  • Raw Pumpkin seed 80% mixed with 20% Raw Sunflower seeds, 2 Tablespoons (Pumpkin seed have Zinc, Vitamin B, C, & D, good for urinary tract and the libido, natural anti-depressant/Sunflower seeds have Omega 3 and many minerals),
  • Chia seed, ½-1 Tablespoon (Omega 3, 6, & 9, protein and fibre, great for escorting out heavy metals)
  • Flax seed, ½-1 teaspoon (Omega 3, lignans a natural antioxidant, gelatinous so escorts out heavy metals)
  • Hemp seed, ½-1 Tablespoon optional (Omega 3 & 6, Protein, essential amino & fatty acids)

Add this ground powder mix to the fruit in the bowl. Stir together. Now you pour some of the Schmunkie juice over all the ingredients in the bowl, stir together, and enjoy! As you eat out of the bowl add more Schmunkie juice, stir together and enjoy some more! Eat half and then whatever is left is what you eat for lunch.  NOTE* Add more pineapple or grapes to sweeten if you need to.  ENJOY!

OPTION***Throw all the ingredients from the whole recipe in the Vita Mix and have it as a 4 serving drink!
