October 2018 – Understanding How Easy It Is To Improve The Quality of Your Food Choices
Welcome to Fall!
The cold temps have come early in our neck of the woods.
We are scrambling to get our Olive Leaves harvested before the autumn winds take them away!!
Understanding How Easy It Is To Improve The Quality of Your Food Choices
This month I am going to offer you the first two of four
simple, life-enhancing tips regarding:
How to look at the matrix of food options available to us, and how to discern which will serve you the very best.
#1. Nobody wants to give up their favorite foods (which unfortunately are
generally the reason for their ill health/acidic body…hint, hint)
BUT, how about
starting with “adding” quality,
high nutrition, high alkaline food tools?
Once you start to feel better, THEN,
if you would like to continue feeling better and better,
you may just be willing to REDUCE your regular serving size
or how many times per day or week you consume them
or possibly ELIMINATE
some foods all together….
especially once you are made aware
of what they are creating in your body.
For example,
spinach….could you live without spinach?
Of course you could!
Spinach leaves are acid-forming.
Romaine Lettuce, Chard, Beets Greens, Kale etc.
are alkaline-forming… which leads me to the second tip.
#2. Do your best to ONLY buy organics when it comes to high-water-content foods,
such as lettuce, celery, tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet peppers etc.
Many of these are grown in greenhouses using hydroponics, which is basically water and synthetic nutrients, i.e. chemicals.
Who knows what is even in the water??
Has it been recycled?
In essence, what you are consuming are those fake nutrients/chemicals,
which are NOT of any value to YOUR body or its cells.
They are part of the problem!!
FYI~ I ONLY buy these types of products if they are organic, otherwise I simply go without.
Heads-up, organic products grown in the ground are the best because they are connected to the earth which IS where our nutrients are to come from along with the sun.
Often greenhouse products are grown in pots with “growing medium???” and feeder-tubes.
Even the organic greenhouse versions aren’t without their “approved” chemicals.
Join me next month for part two, especially with the holidays fast approaching.
