You’ve Got The Power! But are you taking advantage of it?
It has come to my attention recently that there has been an overwhelming increase in the number of people who are having colonoscopies. Many folks are doing it multiple times.
My question is, Has anyone bothered to check into what is in the “stuff” they have you drink to clean you out? Not to mention, “Do The Risks Out Weigh The Benefits?” (to you, not the medical system!!)
I recently went to one of our local pharmacies and inquired about the kit with the two products that are required in order to facilitate a colonoscopy.
Nausea, vomiting, stomach fullness and cramping are the first issues they mention. Sounds fairly harmless, until you realize that the main defense your body has to ingested toxins is to make you feel sick and then effectively deal with the toxins by vomiting them up and out of the body! CLUE!!
Cramping also sounds harmless, until you take into account that cramping is caused by a lack of water and or minerals for the cells to function correctly. CLUE!!
Please keep in mind your heart is a muscle that requires hydrated cells to function correctly!! Not to mention your brain!
When I read the “pharmacy provided literature”, it explained that one product was pulling water from the body and holding it in the stool to create watery bowel movements. This we are warned “can result in a serious loss of body water….which can result in unusual dry mouth/thirst, fast heart beat, or dizziness/lightheadedness.”
They also went into great detail about how there could be abdominal pain, and vomit that is bloody or looks like coffee grounds,rectal bleeding, slowed heartbeat, muscle weakness, Seizures, and signs of Kidney problems. Not to mention that your face/tongue/throat could swell, have severe dizziness and trouble breathing!
There is also a notation to advise the pharmacist if you are allergic to polyethylene glycol or bisacodyl.
Here is what a quick Google search reveals
(sciencing.com) “April 25 ,2017 – Polyethylene glycol (PEG) is made from ethylene glycol, the main ingredient in Anti-Freeze. When ethylene glycol polymerizes, reacts with itself (in water), the reaction yields a variety of products containing varying numbers of ethylene glycol units…”
Wouldn’t that information be enough to make you question the validity of ingesting these products to facilitate having a scope inserted up into an organ that things are only supposed to come out of?
